Yesterday, I had a really bad experience with my medical care. The kind of insane, dehumanizing experience that makes me question the ability of people to even be good. It was… painful, but I’m not here to talk about that.
I’m here to talk about what happened next.

I did something that could have badly. I went to reddit for advice on what to do next. Yes, I went to the internet for moral support.
But, it turned out well. Most people understood what I was going through. They gave me advice, they made me feel validated. It was nice to be seen and heard and that I wasn’t overreacting.
And when I started thinking about it I have gotten other great things from the internet. I got my best D&D players from the internet. I get mental health support from a Discord community. I learned how to quarantine cut my hair (and then how to put in layers) because of YouTube.
So yes, the internet can be ugly… but sometimes it can also be magical.
Very true!
